When the road gets dark And you can no longer see Just let my love throw a spark And have a little faith in me
And when the tears you cry Are all you can believe Just give these loving arms a try And have a little faith in me And
Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me
When your secret heart Cannot speak so easily Come here darlin' From a whisper start To have a little faith in me
And when your back's against the wall Just turn around and you will see I will catch, I will catch your fall baby Just have a little faith in me
Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me Have a little faith in me

Delta has dream night at ARIAS
10.21.03 (10:05 pm) [edit]
11:57 AEST Wed 22 Oct 2003 Delta has dream night at ARIAS
Delta Goodrem thanks her fans and well-wishers after winning seven ARIAs. AAP Listen to Audio Watch video dial-up broadband help
Pop singer Delta Goodrem says she now has no more dreams to fulfil, after winning a record seven Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) awards, including Best Female Artist and Single of the Year for "Born to Try".
An emotional Goodrem, who is battling Hodgkin's disease, told the crowd of 6,500 people at Sydney's Superdome that the awards for musical excellence meant all her dreams had been fulfilled.
"All of my dreams have now come true," the 18-year-old said in one of her many acceptance speeches.
Goodrem was also awarded Best New Artist (Album) and Highest Selling Album for "Innocent Eyes", while the single of the same name won Best Pop Release.
Her debut single "Born To Try" won Highest Selling Single and Best New Artist (Single).
If her arms weren't full enough with all that, Goodrem also won the Channel V Oz Artist of the Year and Video Hits Music Video of the year awards.
The awards cap an incredible year for Goodrem, whose story has been closely followed by the music industry and fans.
In July, the Neighbours star and pop singer announced she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and would be stepping out of the spotlight while she underwent treatment.
At the same time, her debut album, "Innocent Eyes", was enjoying unprecedented success, with her first three singles heading straight to number one.
Goodrem was still too ill last month to attend a pre-ARIA event, at which it was announced that she would be the first female artist to contest 10 nominations.
There was evidence of Goodrem's battle. Chemotherapy treatment has taken an effect on her luxurious hair, and she now sports a short blonde style.
When she stepped on stage and yelled, "How good is it to be here?", everyone knew what she meant.
"I can't wait to get back into it, but I have to focus on my health," she said later.
In the meantime, Goodrem said she was looking forward to relaxing and turning 19.
She said she would not return to the public eye until next year.
Goodrem's seven awards surpassed Natalie Imbruglia's six awards in 1999.
Other winners included Brisbane rockers Powderfinger, who took home three awards and brought the crowd to its feet with their high-energy performance of "On My Mind".
Powderfinger won the coveted Album of the Year award, as well as Best Group and Best Rock Album for "Vulture Street".
West Australian trio The Waifs were awarded Best Blues and Roots Album and Best Independent Release for their album "Up All Night". This came on top of the two Artisan Awards announced in September for Engineer of the Year and Producer of the Year.
Alex Lloyd won Best Male Artist for his second album "Coming Home", while children's entertainers The Wiggles took home the Outstanding Achievement Award.
Keith Urban won Best Country Album for "Golden Road". He performed "Love Somebody Like You" as a tribute to country music icon Slim Dusty, who died of cancer in September.
ARIA Hall of Fame inductee and winner of the Best Adult Contemporary Album award, John Farnham, capped off the awards ceremony by performing his multi-platinum hit "The Voice".

Funny Old Cat
That funny, old cat at my house, Still thinks she is a kitten, She doesn't seem to understand, With old age she has been smitten. She flings herself upon the floor, Upon her aging back, She rolls over with her tummy up, Her message is, "Now scratch."
If I follow her instructions, I find my scratching hand is clasped, By four, furry, feline paws, That reach out, and up, and grasp.
When I take my other hand To rub her shoulder blade, My first hand is then released, But I can't pull the second hand away.
She doesn't care which hand she has, She loves this little game, I am the only one, it seems, In risk of being maimed.
She's such a funny, little cat, I doubt she will grow up Her antics still remain the same, Though, I fear she has slowed up.
I don't think I will tell her, She's not a kitten any more, We keep each other feeling young, I guess that's what we're for.

Barbie Turns Forty- by Billie Dee What do you buy the girl who has everything? Pink plastic condo with matching pink jacuzzi, patio furniture, pink canvas-topped golf cart, a classic corvette and custom Winnebago, Leer jet and jet ski, her own private polo club with pink-nylon ponies, gambling casinos, oil wells, sugar plantations, copper mines, whole Barbie kingdoms with third world colonies ...
and clothes ... clothes ... my god! she's got clothes!
What else could she need? But she's a real American girl -- more is more and leads to more -- and Barbie doll will never ever have enough stuff.
Because the older Barbie gets, the fewer friends she has. Take her little pal, Skipper -- who grew up and was last seen turning tricks with GI Joes down on Sunset Boulevard Or Midge, the saucy brunette with bobby sox and freckles. She ran off with fuzz-head Ken, the eunuch.
But Barbie didn't seem to mind. She got a new Ken -- like when Samantha got a new Daren -- remember that? The new Ken doll had real doll hair, and a cute little genital bump in his pants, smooth as a ballet dancer's crotch.
Poor Barbie! She'll never get enough!

Hehe..This is some what true!
10.18.03 (4:58 am) [edit]

I am truly passionate.
Find your soul type at kelly.moranweb.com.
You're excited about life and in touch with yourself and nature.
Virtues: You appreciate humor like none other. Puns might even spark laughter in you (TEHY R FUNNI). You seek adventure and connection with your surroundings. You seek friends who will not only share laughs with you but actually form a deep bond of trust and empathy beneath the surface. You look for adventure and courage in people, and variation is necessary to keep you under control. You see yourself as multi-faceted, so you need people who can see you in your many lights. You're constantly trying to figure yourself out while analyzing the people around you. Silly, silly people.
Aspirations: You can't decide what you want to be yet, but you know you want it to be adventures and interesting, with constant changes. You don't know what love will do for you yet, but it's competing with adventure for a place in your heart. An internal conflict has begun: can you be a successful worker, lover, and parent all at once?
Quirks: Noise of any sort is irritating when you're in the mood. Smacking gum, loud chewing, humming- it's about as pleasing as bodily noises. You dislike emaciated people because of jealousy and just plain disgust. You're a procrastinator but a hard worker, too.
Factors: You need constant attention and support. You're high-maintnence, but a great, reliable friend. Nature needs you and you need nature; it's helped thus far, so keep in touch with the outside world.
Future: Who knows! You absolutely need constant change, so vacationing is surely in the cards. Will you settle down or not? Love will find you eventually, as it does to everyone. Will you choose the sweet home life or the rewarding busy-bee life?

Bali marks year of tears
10.12.03 (5:24 am) [edit]
20:22 AEST Sun 12 Oct 2003 Bali marks year of tears
Hundreds of Australians journeyed into the hills of Bali on an emotion-charged pilgrimage to remember the victims of last year's terrorist bombings.
Prime Minister John Howard joined survivors and families at a spectacular hilltop memorial carved into sandstone cliffs and overlooking Kuta township.
There, under the gaze of Wisnu - the Hindu god of protection - and in a cathedral-like canyon hewn from stone, they paid a tearful tribute to the 202 people, including 88 Australians, who lost their lives in the October 12 terror attacks.
Representatives from the 22 nations who lost citizens in the bombings, together with local religious leaders, solemnly lit candles in memory of the fallen.
More poignant still were former Australian consul-general Ross Tysoe's reading of the list of victims' names, and John Williamson's moving rendition of Waltzing Matilda.
Mourners - some wearing suits, some footy jumpers - scattered wattle and frangipani flowers over a remembrance pool, before filing out through a canyon lined with photographs of loved ones cut down by the terrorists.
The mourners came from across the world, including Brazil, South Africa, Britain, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, the US and Korea, as well as Australia and Indonesia.
"Yours is a loss that can never be recovered," Mr Howard told the victims' families.
"We haven't forgotten you, we never will. Australia will never forget October 12, 2002."
Mr Howard said the bombing had brought Australia and Indonesia closer together.
"It has taught us a number of things about ourselves, it has taught us about our strengths and it has taught us about the need to cooperate with others in the ongoing fight against the terrible deeds and the terrible hatred that caused so much pain," he said.
Mr Howard and Opposition Leader Simon Crean were joined by prominent Indonesians including parliamentary chairman Amien Rais, Coordinating Security Minister Bambang Yudhoyono, Bali police chief I Made Mangku Pastika and national chief Da'I Bachtiar.
Mr Yudhoyono told mourners that Indonesia was resolute in its quest to hunt down those responsible for the bombings, with several already on death row.
"These diabolical men and their friends of evil simply have no place in our society," he said to applause.
"They belong in our darkest dungeon, locked away beneath our children's playground."
The tragedy of the bombing, he said, crossed international borders and diplomatic differences.
"Never mind your nation, they are our sons our daughters, our fathers, our mothers, our brothers and our sisters, our best friends and our soul mates, and they were all innocent," Mr Yudhoyono said of those who died.
Indonesian victims were also prominent in the hour-long service at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, during which distraught relatives in the 2,000 strong crowd had to be aided and helped out by counsellors and first-aid crews.
"There is a time for everything and a season for every activity, under heaven," 21-year-old Desak, who was seriously injured and evacuated to Perth for treatment, told guests and onlookers.
Drawing from the Byrds song adapted from Ecclesiastes, she said: "A time to be born and a time to die, a time to kill and a time to heal."
Following the commemoration ceremony, Mr Howard laid a wreath at the site of the bombings on Legian Street in Kuta.
Security was tight, and local mobile networks switched off to prevent remote bombs being triggered, as Mr Howard, Opposition leader Simon Crean and Ambassador David Ritchie stood silent before a granite plaque listing the dead.
Hundreds of Balinese watched as Australians in the crowd cheered Mr Howard with chants of "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie".
Mr Howard inspected tributes and wreaths laid where the Sari Club once stood, then moved across the road to Paddy's Bar, now a plantation of banana trees.
Mr Howard also toured local hospitals, including the burns unit at Sanglah Hospital, as well as an eye hospital.
But he would not attend another service at 11.08pm, (0108 Monday AEST), the time of the blast at the Sari Club one year earlier, because officials were determined to give families a quiet moment to reflect on their loved ones.
Instead, Balinese guards of Legian Street were to sound a gong in the silence.

You are Balder! His name means "The Glorious". He was also called the "god of tears" and the "white as". Balder, the son of Odin and Frigg, was described as a very handsome and wise god. Some consider him to be a god of light since he was so bright, light shined from him.
Balder's wife was Nanna and they had a son named Forseti. Balder and Nanna lived in Breidablik [The Broad-Gleaming], where nothing unclean could be and there were "fewest baneful runes". Balder is loved and respected by everyone, he believes in justice and what's right above everything else.

Two traveling angels
09.30.03 (8:36 pm) [edit]
Two traveling angels Keep reading to the bottom of the page -- don't stop at the feet (You'll see). Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.
The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem."
The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you helped him, she accused. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die. "Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it." "Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. "Things aren't always what they seem." Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage. You just might not know it until some time later...

09.23.03 (10:39 pm) [edit]
* A little boy went up to his father and asked: "Dad, where did all of my intelligence come from?" ... The father replied: "Well, son, you must have gotten it from your mother, 'cause I still have mine."
* A businessman entered a tavern, sat down at the bar, and ordered a double scotch on the rocks. After he finished the drink, he peeked inside his shirt pocket, then he ordered another double scotch. After he finished that one, he again peeked inside his shirt pocket and ordered another double scotch.
Finally, the bartender said, "Look, buddy, I'll bring you drinks all night long. But you gotta tell me why you look inside your shirt pocket before you order another."
The customer replied, "I'm looking at a photo of my wife. When she starts to look good, then I know it's time to go home." * A doctor examined a woman, took the husband aside, and said, "I don't like the looks of your wife at all."
"Me either doc." said the husband. "But she's a great cook and really good with the kids." * An old man goes to the Wizard to ask him if he can remove a curse he has been living with for the last 40 years. The Wizard says, "Maybe, but you will have to tell me the exact words that were used to put the curse on you."
The old man says without hesitation, "I now pronounce you man and wife."
